Photo reference

• A Portrait sketch will only cover the face, shoulders and the upper chest. Do not ask for a full figure sketch.​

• The portrait will be done in an artistic finish, so do not expect photo-realistic shades and looks.

• The photo reference should be of high quality, as it will be cropped for scaling to the sheet's cross section.

• Do not use pix-elated photos, bad lighting photos, long distance pose, group photos, too much jewelry details. 

• A maximum of 3 faces can be drawn comfortably in an A3 sheet. A 4th face will require a vertical oriented reference photo. 

• Price for 3 face portrait drawn on an A3 sheet will cost ₹4000 including frame. A4 is too small for 3 faces or more.

Approval

• The finished portrait is photographed and sent for approval under white light. The white light will bounce from the sheet, causing the light grey shades to look white. The Portrait will always look majestic only when seen physically. So do not ask for more darkening until you see the Portrait physically. Because once any additional layers are given, it is almost impossible to make smooth corrections later. Yes it will look bad.

• The Portrait shall have my signature at the bottom right corner, you can let me know if you want me to add a specific date(if any).

Framing

Method 1

• A standard 1/2 inch black frame and glass protection will be provided in the framing. 

• Any change in frame size or additional mounting will be charged extra.

 

Method 2

• If you are too far for Local Delivery or you are sending the frame to elsewhere, then let me know while placing the order, as the framing will then be made using acrylic(plastic) instead of glass, which would cost additional ₹150 from your side + Courier charges. 

• Glass will break in courier, plastic is costlier than glass, but it is prone to scratch marks if subjected to rough handling. And fogging can happen inside the frame, if placed in a humid room. Read Maintenance & Care for more details.

• You can replace the plastic to glass after receiving the courier, if you want to. Read "Shipping" section below before making the decision.

• But if you send the frame via courier and if it breaks while transit(even with plastic), there shall be no compensation or refund from my side.

• Any change in frame size or additional mounting will be charged extra.

 

Method 3

• If you are concerned of damages in plastic frame, then instead of framing, the portrait will be mounted to a 1 inch black mount or white mount of 2mm thickness, and wrapped with butter paper and foam board on both sides; and a layer of bubble wrap and cardboard protection shall be made. 

• The frame cost that was included in the original price, is replaced to the mount and packing cost.

• The person who receives the portrait, should frame it as per their requirement in a local frame shop.

• Do not touch the portrait by any means, as it will get smudged, and no refund/replacement shall be done for smudge issue once the package is opened.

Shipping

Local Delivery

• The frame will be bubble wrapped and covered by packing sheet/newspaper. You can opt for gift wrap at the time of packing by letting me know. 

• All Portrait delivery within Chennai is done by Dunzo/Swiggy Genie kind of delivery services(only upto their service limits). Whatever delivery charges they quote will be paid by you.

Gallery Pickup

• You can avoid delivery charges by directly picking up the frame from the gallery by yourself, or by a friend/relative.

Courier service/Shipping in India 

• If your destination is too far for you or for Dunzo kind of services, then the frame will be couriered to you by Speed post service from India post. You will have to wait for a day or two. You shall pay me the courier charges that they quote.

• The parcel will be sent by DHL. It takes from 2-3 weeks to get delivered.
